From the Pitch
Lauren Haivala – Deer Creek
Senior midfielder Lauren Haivala returns to the starting lineup for the Lady Antlers after a great junior campaign. Described by head coach Jake Kurey as the, “heart and soul of the team,” Haivala is known for staying after practice to improve her technique and fitness. She has signed to play college soccer for the University of Oklahoma.
Taylor Reed – Deer Creek
Reed joins Haivala as a midfielder and defenseman for the Lady Antlers. Her speed and ability to cover a lot of ground makes Reed one of the top defenders in the class. Reed has also signed to play at the next level with Oklahoma State University.
Ivanna Rivas – Santa Fe
The senior midfielder scored 15 goals and had three assists as a junior. Rivas was named to the Class 6A All-District team last year and has her sights set on helping this Lady Wolves team to the state tournament.
Pamela Caballeros – Santa Fe
Only a junior, Pamela Caballeros was hampered by injury for most of last season making her somewhat of an unknown to some opponents. Caballeros is a veteran midfielder giving the Lady Wolves some much needed experience and leadership on the field.
Addy Guthrie – North
This attacking midfielder knows how to put the pressure on opposing goalies. Last season she scored four goals as a sophomore and should see those numbers increase in 2016.
Jordan Burbank – North
A sophomore goalkeeper at North, Burbank recorded five shutouts as a freshman making her one of the top underclassmen at the position. With tremendous anticipation and the ability to reach shots most don’t, Burbank is certainly a player to watch in 2016.
Annabeth Fouts – Memorial
Senior defender Annabeth Fouts is known for her outstanding work ethic according to head coach Randy Bohuslavicky. Fouts has been named captain in both her junior and senior years. She has signed to play soccer with the University of Tulsa.
Laramie Hall – Memorial
This scoring machine knocked in 18 goals with 12 assists last season from her forward position, Laramie Hall is the definition of a player to watch. Exciting with the ball, Hall is always a threat to blast one in the net.
From the Diamond
Kaden Polcovich – Deer Creek
A University of Oklahoma commit, Polcovich is a switch-hitting junior with great defense from his shortstop position. Last season he hit .306 and added nine stolen bases. Polcovich was named to the VYPE Top 50 this spring.
Mitchell Stone – Deer Creek
This Oklahoma State commit will handle some of the pitching duties and play 1st base for the Antlers. Only a junior, Stone is a crafty left-hander with good control and movement. Stone joins Polcovich on the VYPE Top 50 list.
Cameron Kay – Santa Fe
As a junior Kay closed out the 2015 season with 34 strikeouts, a 7-0 record and a 1.11 ERA after 44 innings pitched. He also added seven saves last year. Kay is capable of a big season this year, which will help the Wolves get back to the state tournament.

Austin Eckroat – North
Shot out of a cannon his freshman year, Eckroat turned heads when we won a state title in his first year as a varsity golfer. Now a junior, Eckroat is carrying a 72.1 average and appears to be one of the frontrunners this season. Also ranked nationally and is signing with Oklahoma State in November.
Laken Hinton – North
Another All-Conference player for North, Laken Hinton will sign with the University of Oklahoma in November. Like Eckroat, Hinton played in the state tournament as a freshman and sophomore. Only a junior, Hinton is shooting 74.5 on average.
McCain Schellhardt – Memorial
A three-year starter for head coach Scott MacDonald, McCain Schellhardt had six top ten finishes last year including a first place and two second place tournament finishes. His 2015 tournament average was 75.4.
Evan Johnson – Memorial
Senior Evan Johnson was named to the All-Conference team last year after his efforts at the state tournament. Johnson also grabbed four top ten finishes in 2015 carried a stroke average of 76.1.
From the Track
Morganne Mukes – Memorial
The returning state champion in the 200, Mukes will add her talents to the 4X100 and 4X200 relay teams and compete in the 100 meters along with defending her 200 meter title. With the fastest 60 meter indoor time in the state, Mukes is the favorite in Class 6A to repeat as champion.
Kylee Stone – Memorial
Senior hurdler Kylee Stone is back to defend her 300 hurdles title this season. She has the quickest time in the 300 hurdles and is the favorite to win it again this season. Always working hard at her craft, Stone is a leader on and off the track.
Brock Appiah – North
A fourth place finish at state last year in the 400 meters, Appiah is pushing himself to not only make the podium in several events, but to improve on that fourth place finish in the 400. Appiah will also run the 100, 200, 4X100, 4X200 and the 4X400.
